Allentown, PA — (July 29, 2019) - Health Network Laboratories (HNL), a leader in high quality, innovative laboratory medicine services, announced the appointment of Xinjing Wang MD, PhD, FACMG as Director of Clinical Genomics.
In this role, Dr. Wang will work directly with Senior Leadership, Business Development, and Laboratory Operations staff and act as the medical and technical liaison between the clinical genomics services offered by HNL and its clients. Dr. Wang is responsible for the overall direction, operation, strategic planning, new test development and coordination and support of all clinical genomics services including NGS sequencing, molecular diagnostics, and cytogenetics.

Dr. Wang currently serves as the Associate Director of Genetics Laboratory, Department of Pediatrics at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and is certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) in Clinical Molecular Genetics and Clinical Cytogenetics.

Prior to HNL, Dr. Wang was the Director at the National Eye Institute/NIH, an NEI DNA Diagnostic Laboratory in Bethesda, Maryland. He also served as the Medical Director of Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the University of Minnesota and held multiple positions as Director, Assistant Laboratory Director and R&D Director at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Wang received his Bachelor of Medicine from Beijing University and earned his PhD at The SUNY, Buffalo. Dr. Wang completed his Clinical Fellowships in Molecular Genetics and Clinical Cytogenetics at Johns Hopkins University, McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine.
