1. DNA Sequencing Tests

A. Sanger Sequencing

Connective Tissue Gene Tests strives to complete all sequencing tests within 2 weeks following receipt of a sample in the laboratory. Many tests are completed in less than 2 weeks and the actual average for all Sanger sequencing tests is ten days.

B. Next Generation Sequencing

Turnaround time for next generation sequencing panels of 4 or more genes is 2 to 4 weeks following receipt of a sample in the laboratory. Turnaround time for NGS panels of 3 genes or fewer, including single gene tests, is 2 to 3 weeks following receipt of a sample in the laboratory.

2. Deletion / Duplication Tests

Turnaround time for deletion /duplication tests is typically 2 to 3 weeks following receipt of a sample in the laboratory. Results for deletion / duplication analysis of additional genes, added on after the original test is completed, are usually available in less than 2 weeks.

CONNECTIVE TISSUE GENE TESTS MAKES EVERY EFFORT TO EXPEDITE CASES INVOLVING ONGOING PREGNANCIES AND CASES WITH OTHER SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES (FOR EXAMPLE, SURGERY OR BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT IS DEPENDENT ON THE RESULTS).

Important:

While the above turnaround times are CTGT's stated goal for completing all tests, we cannot guarantee that any individual test will be completed within these time frames.
